This is a poem I wrote. I've always loved poetry, but lately LIFE has been getting in the way of my writing. I've really missed it, and I'm a little out of touch with writing it, I guess. So please excuse this entry if it's not the most insightful poem you've ever read. It means alot to me, and that's all that really matters in the end anyway.
Turning Your Back.
I've seen the sunlight in your eyes before
Now shadows always loom.
I don't know what I've done to deserve
This attitude of doom.
You've been everything that I could need.
Now will you just give up?
On all that we have given you?
On this unconditional love?
You needed me like the air you breathe,
Now you've just changed your mind?
I can't keep running in circles with you,
In all these webs you've intertwined.
Of course I want you to stay with me,
And I've never given up.
But in YOUR mind, is it just too late?
Are you turning your back on us?
